Overview
Want to know what information is backed up when doing a Backup from within Route Manager via the File > Backup/Restore > Backup routine?
Resolution
Everything in the RMA > Data folder with the following exceptions:
*.zip
*.bmp
tmp*.*
*.bak
*.tbk
*.txt
*.xls
*.csv
Posting_Restore_?????????\*.*
balance_err_*.*
screen_cap*.*
archive\*.*
backup\*.*
SYSENV\*.* tempimages\*.*
handheld\routes\*.*
handheld\output\*.*
handheld\input\*.*
handheld\batch\*.*
handheld\trans\UPARCH_?????????\*.*
handheld\ce_setup\*.*
handheld\Data\*.*
NOTE: The 2 years of HISTORY files are also backed up by default, but in Branch Setup > Optimizations Tab, you can override this to backup ALL history. As shown below.
WARNING: Route Manager can only backup a maximum of 5Gb worth of data. If your data folder is too large to fit within this 5Gb limit, you will receive an "output file error". You may need to clean up some of the data in the data folder (Contact Support for assistance) or use an alternative backup solution such as ARSBackup.
