Cause
Many users find it is easier to use Voice-to-Text on handheld devices, but do not know how to enable this on their device. Voice-to-Text is not an option for the android keyboard that’s pre-installed on the tablet. This article will guide your through the steps to download a different keyboard from the app store to have Voice-to-Text capabilities.
Resolution
1.) Navigate to your app store (Google Play, Galaxy Store) and search for Google keyboard (that has voice-to-text option)
2) Once you have the play store open with the Google Keyboard App pulled up select 'Install'
3.) Once the install is complete Navigate to settings>languages & input
4) Select virtual keyboard
5) Select (+) Manage Keyboards
6) Select the Google Keyboard as your new Keyboard
7) Now you will have access ot the Google Keyboard Talk-to-Text Feature
