Overview
The purpose of this article is to inform users that Windows Server 2019 has built in Anti-Virus and Threat Protection that can cause slowness in your RMA Software. This article will explain how to locate Windows Virus and Threat Protection and how to create exclusions for RMA.
Cause
Issues are caused by updates in Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection.
Resolution
To locate your Virus & Threat Protection on your server. First navigate to the start menu and type 'Virus'.
Select 'Open'.
To locate where to add exclusions please select 'Manage Settings'.
Scroll down and locate 'Exclusions' and select 'Add or remove exclusions'.
This will open Exclusions.
Select 'Add an exclusion'.
Select your RMA root folder.
Once you 'Select Folder' your folder will appear under exclusions.
