Scrolling Text on RMA Screen V8
This article is in regards to when a user starts getting "scrolling text" on their RMA desktop program screen.
SymptomsWhen using Route Manager, and on the screen there starts to show a bunch of program code scrolling down the screen. Generally happens most of the time when logging in, but can potentially happen at any time.
File in use error pops up in the upper right corner sometimes as well.
For example:

The program language that Route Manager is written in loads an underlying "view" resource file for all users. This file is stored wherever RMA is stored. If the users are accessing RMA over a slow connection, mapped drive, or having network connectivity issues the "view" resource file may not be loaded in a timely manner, in which the result is the scrolling program code down the desktop screens.
ResolutionGenerally closing RMA and re-opening it resolves the issue. However, if it continues to be a problem for certain users, it may be an issue with their specific connection to the main computer hosting RMA. So that could be the computers network card, their network cables, the switch/router they are behind, etc. It could also be caused by slow network speeds. So increasing to a 1gb network card/switches/routers along with CAT 6E cable could help. If there are more than 3-4 users running RM across a Mapped Drive, it likely may be just receiving too much traffic. In that case, its time to look into a Remote Desktop Server to host RM.
