The purpose of this article is to guide you through the process of refreshing a RMA Version 8.0 (V8) test area when you only have 7.3 (or later) data. This situation can occur when a customer would like to update their RMA to V8.
Our first step would be taking their current data in a test area and update it to V8. Once you update to V8 there are new tables (and fields in those tables) that are added and information that has been moved, therefore if you would like to refresh the dataset again you will need to follow the steps below.
Process1. Go to your start menu and open the file explorer
2. In file explorer go to your RMA root folder and navigate to the data folder. Be mindful this is typically done in a TEST area so make sure you are navigating to the correct folder
3. Once you are in the data folder remove all files that start with RMR
4. Then navigate to the customers LIVE data folder and copy all current data rmr files. Notice in my test area the path was E:/RMA_v8_test and the live data is E:/RMA
5. Then navigate back to your TEST area data folder and paste the current data rmr files
6. Once all files have been pasted they will be visible in the test data folder
7. Once this is complete open a web browser and enter http://builds.ars247.com/ and select the latest V8 update after entering your CICODE
8. Select the latest V8 download and the installer will begin to download at the bottom of your webpage
9. Once the download is complete open the RMA V8 installer. when you get to the route manager directory page make sure to point the RMA path to the TEST dataset then select install
10. Once the update is complete make sure to follow the article below to patch the test dataset.
