Issues posting Equipment Movement V7
This applies to: RM, MangoMobile, Equipment
Overview
One issue that hear a great deal about in tech support is equipment posting errors. But most people don't realize that this is one of the simplest items to fix. See the steps below to become an equipment expert.
1) Let's start from the beginning. When a driver uploads a handheld, there are three categories of items that need to be posted. These are invoices, payments, and handhelds. By default, all three items are selected during the posting process. But you can choose to post a specific category later if you desire, simply by un-checking the correct box.

2) Posting is a straight forward process, but on occasion you may need to correct a record before posting. When this happens on an invoice, you can do so from the Invoices and Transactions window. Likewise, a payment record can be corrected by navigating to the Mail Payments screen. When an equipment record needs to be corrected, simply navigate to Modules > Equipment Processing > Equipment Transfer. This window is where all equipment records can be modified before posting:

3) A transfer record is generated each time the equipment is moved. Most system-generated transfer records will not have an issue being posted, but if the equipment was installed or picked up from an account, all account info must be added to this record. The most common reason we encounter with equipment records missing information, is due to the fact the equipment wasn't added to the master list, prior to the driver taking the equipment form the warehouse. If this is a new piece of equipment, it will need to be added via the Equipment Wizard before posting can continue. Once the equipment has been added, or the record has been updated, you can resume posting.
*Master User Tip: Do you want to manage equipment like a pro? There's an even better way to avoid equipment posting errors already in the system. If you go to Lists > Routes > Handheld Class > Load/Unload tab, you can check the option highlighted below. This won't let driver load equipment, unless the serial number has already been added to the system. This will not only minimize errors, it will help prevent duplicate equipment records.
