BB3 Printer Issue

This article will guide you through what do to if a BB3 printer's internal motherboard has become loose

Issue

BB3 printer is not connecting to the handhelds. It will not show in the list as an available printer or once connected it will not print out any receipts/Test Prints.

Cause

Motherboard has become loose during shipment or from use on the field. 

Resolution

Warning: These troubleshooting steps will only apply to the BB3 printers. Any other printers experiencing issues you will need to contact our Support team at support@advantagers.com.

You will need the following tools listed below:

  • Screw Driver

Please use the following steps to reconnect the board. 

  1. Take of the battery lid and remove the battery.
  2. Next, unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the printer. 
  3. Slightly slide the top panel down until it can be lifted off. Description: cid:image001.png@01D6659A.67FE5B20
  4. There will be a white cable connected to the top panel. 
  5. Disconnect the cable to completely open up the printer.
  6. There will be a small board in the bottom right corner of the printer that will either be loose or not connected.

  7. Gently press down on the small board to ensure a full connection. Try to keep most of your pressure on the circled area above to avoid bending the prongs.
  8. Once done, reconnect the white cable. 
  9. Close the top panel and input the batter again. 
  10. Test out the connected/printing.

More Information

If printer is still not connecting, try connecting a different printer to the handheld to confirm that the printer is the issue and not the handheld.

If you are able to connect another printer but not the one you tested, contact our Support team to get information on a replacement or repair.
