Authorize.net Fraud Detection Setup V8
This article will go over the process to set up Fraud settings in your Authorize.net account to approve future card charges.
These settings usually relate to errors in RMA such as:
Declined. Thank you for your payment your orders have been received.
Declined. Payment profile cannot be sent with payment ID.
Declined: Transaction was submitted from a blocked IP address.
Error 4- The transaction is currently under review. (this is usually specific to the "Velocity Filter")
E00027-The Transaction has been declined.
Important Information
In the ProcFraud setting in Authorize.net, if it is set to Hold/Review, then it will ONLY pre-Authorizes the payment. It does not "capture" the payment, so as far as RMA/Mango Web are concerned the payment is NOT approved.
It is best to review all Fraud options and either set them to Allow or Decline.
Process
- Log into your Authorize.net account portal as an Admin user.
- On the Tools tab, locate the Fraud Detection Suite on the left side of the screen.

- Locate the "Enhanced AVS Handling Filter".

- For each category, set them to either "Allow" or "Decline".
- Nothing should be set to "Hold" or "Trigger Report".

- It is best to go through the other Configurations as well and set them to Allow or Decline.

- If you are unable to edit this item, then you do not have Admin permissions and you will need to contact Authorize.net.
- Once the changes are made, log back into RMA and run the card again.
- If the error persists, please contact Tech Support at support@advantagers.com with the error code you are receiving.
